The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the CFO and the Finance organization in the financial planning and analysis function and in the financial relationship with their partners and collaborators.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Financial Analyst will participate in the preparation and subsequent updates of the operating and capital budget. Understand departmental needs and assist the Finance organization in developing related functional templates, budgets, and reports & presentations
Drive the monthly financial reporting process with analysis of actual and budget variances provided to management and the department managers
Working with Finance and Project Management, develop and implement a project accounting system and methodology, including clinical trial accounting and reporting
Coordinate and participate in financial business reviews. Provide business partner support including preparation of periodic financial reports and research for identified variances. Assist the Finance organization in responding to management inquiries
Construct and maintain moderate to complex financial models (risk-adjusted NPV, etc.) and perform sensitivity and valuation analyses in support of business development and strategic planning functions
Special projects and other analytical support as needed
EDUCATION AND SKILLS:


BS/BA in finance, economics, accounting, or decision sciences preferred (MBA and/or CPA or CFA a plus)
Experience working in consulting or auditing for a Big Four public accounting firm
A minimum of one to three years of relevant experience (biotech industry experience a plus)
Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills including financial modeling, and proficiency with other Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Attention to detail, strong analytical aptitude, works accurately and quickly, and possesses good organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, written and oral, through all levels of the organization
Positive attitude about work and providing service
